As Mayorkas has shown, there’s a difference between getting a conviction in a Schumer-controlled Senate and making a case that will persuade the public.
Even if Schumer locks shields around Biden and protects him from any fallout, politically, this can STILL present a really bad look in the public eye.
What’s the issue?
Evidence is growing that the Biden family — including Joe Biden himself — has been engaging in a corrupt use of his political office in exchange for personal profit.
Remember the whistleblower-who-cannot-be-named in Schiff’s impeachment circus in 2019? Not only was he personally connected to the Ukraine/Burisma story Trump was interested in investigating… he worked under Biden as an advisor.
Some former congressional investigators say Ciaramella effectively helped cover up a scandal far worse than what Trump was impeached over. What’s more, he failed to disclose that he had a potential conflict of interest stemming from his connection to the matter Trump asked Zelensky to probe when he lodged his complaint against Trump. RealClearInvestigations was the first to identify the then-33-year-old Ciaramella as the anonymous impeachment “whistleblower,” something major media continue to keep under tight wraps.
Ciaramella worked under CIA Director John Brennan when President Obama made Biden his point man on Ukraine in 2014, the same year Burisma hired Hunter. The next year, the CIA detailed Ciaramella, a longtime advocate for aid to Ukraine, to the White House, where he worked closely with Biden and his staff as a top adviser on key Ukrainian policies. After Biden left office, he stayed on at the GOP White House until mid-2017 even though he’s a Democrat, working as a Ukrainian and Russian analyst on Trump’s National Security Council. Co-workers there accused him of trying to sabotage Trump, including allegedly leaking sensitive information to the press. — RealClearInvestigations
Clearly, Schiff knew all this when he was orchestrating the take-down of Donald Trump. From the same story, above, even Ciaramella was stunned to see the US government’s reversal of policy and call for the firing of Shoken. ‘Yikes’ was his response.
There is plenty of reason to suspect that this was the quid-pro-quo Biden gave for the crapton of money Burisma was paying his son. Congress is exercising specific Oversight in demanding early drafts of the speech Biden gave to show if there was, indeed, a sudden reversal of policy that coincided with the lobbying that other evidence shows he was being subjected to.
Biden is refusing to provide that information when called upon by the impeachment investigation.
This is an official investigation into allegations of corruption.
Would Joe have tolerated Trump blocking any aspect of an investigation into HIS wrongdoing? We know the answer to that. One of Trump’s friends tried to invoke executive privilege — meaning he was no more authorized to divulge that information any more than he could ‘decide’ to divulge classified materials — and he is sitting in jail on account of it.
Joe’s lawyer has flatly refused to cooperate with the investigation.
Comer noted the White House has continued to obstruct the probe into President Biden’s alleged mishandling of classified documents by preventing witnesses from testifying and the probe into his use of pseudonym emails by withholding “thousands of pages” of documents.
Comer also noted the White House has refused to turn over drafts of the then-vice president’s important December 2015 speech in Ukraine, which came at an important time for his son Hunter, who was serving on the board of Burisma at the time.
The letter requests the President provide information about his documented interactions with several of Hunter Biden’s foreign business partners, including Ye Jianming, Vadym Pozharskyi, Yelena Baturina, and Henry Zhao, among others.
So far, the White House has declined to provide any information about these encounters, which have been confirmed by multiple impeachment witnesses. — JustTheNews
